Michael Ha’s earliest memory of playing video games was Mappy-Land on the NES where he couldn’t get enough of running away from cats or slamming the doors on them. It wasn’t until Final Fantasy VII, however, did he became infatuated with everything about games and decided to work towards a career in the games industry. He is most fascinated by video games storytelling and all the unique emotional experiences that can only be found in games.
Michael spent his college years in California State University, Sacramento, or Sac State where he earned a BA English degree in creative writing and a minor in Journalism. There he worked as a games room attendant at the university’s union, checking out video games to students. Because of his expertise in games, he had the added responsibility of games software consultant, responsible for the budget used to purchase games for the campus.
Some of Michael’s favorite games in alphabetical order include Ace Combat Zero, Breath of Fire 3, Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow, Dragon Quest 5, Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy Tactics, Gunstar Heroes, InFamous 2, Mega Man X4, Metal Gear Solid 3, Persona 4, Resident Evil: Code Veronica, Shadow of the Colossus, Shadow Hearts 2, Silent Hill 2, Sonic and Knuckles, Suikoden 2, Super Mario Galaxy 2, Uncharted 2, Valkyria Chronicles, Xenogears, and Zone of the Enders 2.
